Chocolate Ira and other small life's mysteries
We all have those little mysteries in our lives...the missing items that you just happened to have in your hand or keeping in specific place that cannot be found. Or the certain numbers that keeps popping in our lives as well. Certain things happening at certain dates or simply thoughts or plans we cannot recall we suppose to do or buy at the grocery store.
And for some reason we cannot figure them out neither...They keep our lives funny and they keep us wondering how we can forget about them, how we could possibly loose them or put on other place that we no longer can remember. And most of the times when we forget about the mystery all together they will all of the sudden get explain or found. Things that suppose to come back in our lives do appear again. Good people and long time lost friends will find their ways in our lives again as well. And if not, they just maybe not were meant to be solved or found or re-conciliated with.
Going to the point, my latest mystery is my dog, Ira, smelling like a chocolate. I have noticed it for the last couple days, maybe a week, that whenever a hug her, her ridge (she is a Rhodesian Ridgeback) smells like a chocolate. To my defense I have that confirmed by my neighbors so it is definitely happening.
I do love chocolate dearly and if there only was a missing chocolate in my house I would know first! But there is no chocolate, neither chocolate smelling lotion I would use so this one mystery and I have to say very pleasing smell of chocolate is another little joke played by coincidence and randomness of life. It made also make me think of all the things that mysteriously disappeared and all the other little mysteries :)
I do also very deeply appreciate all my friends cheering me up on my mother's death anniversary the other day, as she was a mystery herself to me, the family, friends and doctors for many years.
And if this mystery of chocolate smelling dog will be solved in the near future I will be probably laughing out loud on the explanation.
For now, I just think it is little chocolate leprechaun living in my backyard that is padding Ira everyday...
We shall see :)
Maybe the smell of chocolate is just a reminder of a time when things felt safe and simple. I know when chocolate is around I can't help but smile and it reminds me of a time when I felt happier and excited. But I think that excitement from was from all the sugar I was consuming? If there is a chocolate leprechaun back there then you must have a chocolate pot of gold somewhere? Awesome!
